Room and board are covered as part of the staff’s contract. The pay scale is based on experience, education, and additional leadership responsibilities. Staff work a minimum of 10 hours per day, with two hours off each day and one day off per week.
Most Adventist educational institutions have amazing scholarships available for students who work at Camp. NSC intends to hire 37 staff this summer and we are working toward ACA accreditation and so we will be following these HR guidelines:
At least 80 percent of the staff must be 18 or older.
All staff are at least 16 years of age and at least two years older than the minors with whom they are working.
Ages 14–16 consider registering for the Counselors-In-Training Program (CIT). There are 8 spots available to assist a counselor during Cub Camp. To thank you for your help, this week of camp will be available at a discounted rate. The CIT will be partnered with a counselor and will be expected to assist in the cabin. This is an awesome way to get a taste of what it might be like to work at NSC in the future!
